Ice & Flame

Deep within the burning ravines of the Snowy Volcano, the ancient Arbiter Baluan has awakened — a being that commands both raging fire and eternal frost. With every passing hour, his power grows stronger, and the monsters of the region have already pledged themselves to their new master. Aden Mage Guardian Noah is holding Baluan back with a powerful sealing spell, but the magic is beginning to fade. Heroes of Elmoreden must face the Arbiter in battle, overcome his deadly trials, and answer the OX Quiz questions correctly to evade his lethal traps and defeat the ruler of fire and ice.

Event Overview

• The event is available for characters Lv. 105 and above on the Sakura server, and for characters Lv. 120 and above on the Main / Wolf / Samurai servers.
• Event period: until June 29 (inclusive).
• The coming of Baluan is accompanied by a discharge of unknown energy.
  • After successfully defeating Baluan, the effect will be granted to all characters who participated in the battle and dealt at least 1,000,000 damage to the boss.
  • The effect lasts for 24 hours.
  • The effect does not apply in the Ceremony of Chaos or the Olympiad.
• After the event ends, all event-related items will be removed.
• Rewards for defeating the boss can only be obtained once per day!

How to Participate

• Speak with Aden Mage Guardian Noah NPC at the event pedestal in any major town to learn more about the event and teleport to the Baluan Battleground.
• The boss appears every hour.
• During the battle with Baluan, a Quiz is held three times. Answering correctly will help you avoid Baluan’s traps, which prevent players from gaining contribution points in the battle.

Boss Battle

• During the battle against Baluan Arbiter, you must deal a sufficient amount of damage.
• Damage limit: 222,222 damage per hit.
• Damage dealt to the boss is counted as contribution points.
• To receive the reward, you must successfully complete the raid and earn at least 15,356,750 contribution points.
• Contribution points are reset if the character moves too far away from the boss, dies, or leaves the game.
• During the battle, Baluan Arbiter uses several types of attacks that interfere with earning contribution points:
  • Normal: Repeatedly uses cone-shaped ice/fire area attacks. If hit by the attack, your raid contribution is reduced.
  • Special: A powerful trap attack used after the OX Quiz that can be avoided by answering correctly. If caught by the trap, your raid contribution is reset.

OX Quiz

• When Baluan Arbiter HP drops to 75% / 35% / 10%, the OX Quiz will begin.
• Baluan Arbiter becomes invulnerable while the quiz is in progress.
• During the quiz, a statement will appear on the screen that is either true or false. Players must choose their answer and move into the O zone (True) or X zone (False) to receive a defensive bonus corresponding to their chosen zone.
• If the answer is incorrect, Baluan Arbiter will deal unavoidable damage, and all contribution points will be reset.
• As a reward for successfully completing the raid, players receive the item Arbiter Baluan's Core.

Fire Answer: Immunity to the Baluan's Fire Question effects.
Ice Answer: Immunity to the Baluan's Ice Question effects.
